Our historical site tour project is one of my most favorite. Lots of good memories came in that project and I really enjoyed it. I am really happy because this project gives me the opportunity to visit and learn more about the history of our country. me and my group mates first visit the luneta park, this is one of the historical place and can be found in manila this place holds one of the most unforgettable event happens in the history of the Philippines, according to my past study this is the place where our national hero Jose Rizal shot and killed honorably by the Spanish soldiers when the time Philippines is still part of the Spanish territories in the present time this place Is a tourist spot and in the middle of this park is the shrine of Dr. Jose Rizal , this shrine represents the memory of our national hero who rise up against the Spanish invaders and to free our country from the conquerors.
The second place our group went is the national museum of the Philippines, lots of very historical things can be found in this museum like paintings, artifacts, pictures and etc. and it is all about Philippines history. I am very amaze and proud that I am a Filipino because the paintings and other artifacts in that museum is made by Filipino and it is very wonderful and artistic it really amazes me.
The last place and my most favorite place is the fort Santiago this place is very unforgettable this is the main base of the Spanish soldiers this is where Jose Rizal imprisoned and lot of other Filipino, today this place become a tourist spot for the memory of our national hero and other Filipino who fought in for the glory of our country. This place exhibit lots of artifacts that once owned by Dr. Jose Rizal and it is all safe and preserved for the other generation to see, they also show a short documentary about the life of Rizal, when I am at fort Santiago I still feel the presence of the Spanish soldier, and I am very amaze because this very beautiful place I once a place guarded by hundreds of Spanish soldiers and thousand die in this place and I am also amaze at the structure of this place it is really made for defense.
We truly enjoyed our historical tour because lot of things I learn from this all that learning truly amaze me and makes me proud to be a Filipino.
